Job summary

Chickies-At-American-Dream in East Rutherford, NJ, seeks a Shift Leader to support the Manager in Charge and lead front-of-house operations. The role requires flexibility to assist in all areas of the restaurant and maintain high standards of service.

You will work in a fast-paced, high-energy setting, ensure food safety, and help drive guest satisfaction while supervising team members and performing essential duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Run shifts without any supervision
• Support the senior leadership team by completing delegated tasks
• Take action to solve customer issues or complaints as they arise
• Execute proper security and cash handling procedures with team
• Lead by example using CORE 4: eye contact, smile, speak enthusiastically, connect with guests
• Communicate employee performance and policy/procedure violations to the Senior Leadership Team
• Maintain positive relationships and provide direction and feedback to reporting employees
• Serve as subject matter expert for the shift area
• All other duties as assigned

Full Job Description

Being our Shift Leader requires you to work fast-paced in our high volume restaurant. Shift Leader supports the Manager in Charge for each shift. While the Shift Leader is for Front of House, we expect this individual to be willing to help in all areas of the restaurant.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or older
• Knowledge of restaurant a plus
• Excellent communication and verbal skills
• Work and lead well in a fast-paced and high-energy environment
• Knowledge of and adherence to food safety standards
• Possess a high level of integrity and honesty
• Positive, responsible, accountable, polite, and organized
• Ability to multitask
• Basic computer and Ipad competency
• Able to stand for prolonged periods (entire shift), walk, bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects, as needed
