Job description

The FOHHM oversees and takes responsibility for all operations in the lobbies, public spaces (restrooms), and house during productions.

The FOHHM communicates clearly with volunteers, Box Office and concessions staff, and the production team before, during, and after productions to ensure we start on time and serve quickly during intermission.

The FOHHM anticipates and resolves any patron issues arising during productions, including access, seating choices, late seating, and other patron concerns.

The FOHHM serves as an audience building and ticket sales ambassador by dropping off materials, posting posters at local businesses, and attending and managing all community events, such as Mt. Airy Supper Sessions (summer) and fall and holiday fairs.

The FOHHM continually recruits, trains, and coaches volunteer ushers.

The FOHHM schedules custodial services.

The FOHHM ensures the theater is safely opened and closed for performances and rentals.

The FOHHM manages all concessions and house supplies ordering, makes occasional local supply pickups (coffee and snacks), takes inventory, and ensures supplies are stocked.

The FOHHM ensures that the area in front of and alongside the theater is properly cleaned and free of hazards and trash.

Other tasks as appropriate and needed.
