Job summary

Atlas Disposal is seeking Front Load Drivers in Utah to safely operate heavy-duty trucks and manage on-route pickups of waste, recyclables, and compost materials. The role requires a valid CDL, clean driving record, and the ability to pass DOT drug screenings.

A strong work ethic and safety consciousness are essential for success on tight routes. Shifts start early with long hours and occasional Saturday work.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with an airbrake endorsement.
• 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, and other physical requirements as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle by Atlas Disposal safety rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements and local laws.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and documents checks.
• Operates computerized tablet to track route progress, stops, and landfill info.
• Reports unsafe situations or issues to Supervisor or Dispatch.
• Participates in training programs and team meetings as directed.
• Works with Dispatch and Supervisor to improve route efficiencies.
• Notifies Dispatcher of incidents, service interruptions, or hazards.
• Positions and returns containers, ensuring lids are secure and driveways are clear.
