Job summary

Jimmy Jazz is seeking a Quality Inspector to act as the front line of product conformity on the production floor in West Valley City, UT. You will inspect parts against prints and plans, document findings, and halt nonconforming material from progressing.

The role emphasizes judgment and measurement, selecting proper gauges, and ensuring calibration before use. Authority to reject, hold, or refuse inspection is provided, with escalation to Shift Supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

One+ years of dimensional inspection experience.
Print reading and GD&T interpretation.
Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges.
Willingness to stop and elevate rather than pass a questionable part.

Responsibilities

Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspection per the applicable inspection plan and sampling requirement.
Interpret prints, GD&T, specifications, and inspection plans correctly and consistently.
Select and correctly use the appropriate gauges and instruments; verify calibration status before use.
Record inspection results completely, legibly, and accurately with full traceability to part, lot, and revision.
Maintain a clean, organized inspection station and return issued gauges in good condition.
