Job summary

Arizona Center for Cancer Care in Tempe seeks a nursing assistant/technician to support frontline patient care. You will record patients' histories, prepare treatment rooms, and assist physicians during exams.

You’ll interview patients, monitor vitals, and aid families while maintaining EMR records and infection control. CPR certification and formal nursing training are required; oncology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal training from an accredited School for nursing.
• Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Computer experience with EMR knowledge.
• Current CPR certification.
• Arizona licensure or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or test results in medical records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to protocol.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and vital signs.
• Assist patients with walking, transfers, and preparation for physician.
• Enter and maintain information in electronic medical records.
• Communicate with supervisors, peers, patients, and physicians.
• Maintain infection control and clean/stock rooms; manage supplies.
• Answer clinical phone calls and return messages promptly.
• Perform sterilization and high-level disinfection.
• Assist with other duties as directed by supervisor.
