Job summary

Shinya Shokudo is hiring a Front of House Server at our Tukwila location. You will greet guests, present the menu, and assist with beverage service while ensuring a warm, attentive dining experience.

Applicants must be at least 18, hold a current Food Handlers Card, and be able to work weekends and holidays. Basic math skills are required, and teamwork is encouraged at this authentic Japanese Yakitori & Izakaya.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and friendly greeting.
• Pull each guest’s chair and lay the napkin in their lap.
• Present the menu and answer questions about items.
• Explain preparation methods and tableside serving concept.
• Take and serve beverage and dessert orders and describe drink tastes.
• Place orders with cashiers for processing and payment.
• Assist other servers as needed.
• Complete opening or closing shift duties.

Position: Front of House Server

Location: Shinya Shokudo Tukwila

Address: 17100 Southcenter Pkwy N120, Tukwila, WA 98188

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, make eye contact and use a friendly verbal greeting
• Pull each guest’s chair and lay the napkin in their lap
• Present the menu and answer any questions regarding the menu items
• Be prepared to answer questions regarding the preparation methods and continuous tableside serving concept.
• Take and serve beverage and dessert orders and be able to explain the test of our drinks (Sake/Beer/Wine)
• Place orders with Cashiers for processing and payment
• Assist other Servers in their areas when appropriate
• Complete any beginning or closing shift duties

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• At least 18 years of age
• Maintains a current Food Handlers Card
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
