Base pay range

$135,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

Compensation

$135,000 – $160,000 base + quarterly impact bonus (up to 15%)

Full‑time, 12‑month contract with strong potential to convert to a permanent role

About the Opportunity

Our client—a venture‑backed health‑tech startup—builds analytics dashboards and AI‑powered workflow tools for hospital networks. Many engineers grow into tech‑lead positions within 12–18 months based on impact rather than tenure.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship high‑quality React components and pages (TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Radix UI) that turn complex healthcare data into intuitive, accessible interfaces.
• Integrate front‑end features with GraphQL and REST APIs, managing authentication, caching, and real‑time WebSocket streams for live vitals.
• Optimize performance, write unit and e2e tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress), and drive Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse scores to 95+.
• Contribute to the shared design system in Storybook, documenting reusable patterns to accelerate development across teams.
• Participate in sprint planning, architecture reviews, and code reviews; mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the organization.
• Frontend: React 18, TypeScript 5, Next.js 14 (App Router), Tailwind CSS, Radix UI,Apollo Client, D3.js
• Testing & QA: Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright visual regression

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years professional experience building production UIs with React and TypeScript
• Strong skills integrating GraphQL/REST APIs and working within a Git‑based trunk‑merge or similar flow
• Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, e2e) and CI pipelines
• Bonus points for data‑visualization (D3/Recharts), healthcare standards.
• Remote‑first culture with optional quarterly team meetups.
