Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - UI to transform internal claims apps into modern browser-based interfaces using Vue.js 3+ and TypeScript.

You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade front-end solutions, partnering with analysts, product owners, and backend developers. You will drive UI modernization, establish best practices, mentor teammates, and influence architecture while ensuring secure authentication and API integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• 1 year IT/application development experience required.
• 3 years systems and programming experience required.
• 1 year expert working knowledge of at least one programming language used at BCBST.

Responsibilities

• Formulates system scope and objectives to design and integrate complex information systems.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs and scripts.
• May serve as project lead or technical lead on medium to large projects.
• Mentors less-experienced analysts and programmers and supports training.
