Job summary

Vets Hired seeks a Front End Software Developer to join an Agile team building mission management applications. You will focus on front-end UI design, responsive web apps, automated testing, and cloud-native microservices.

Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, modern front-end frameworks, and collaboration in a Canban/A Scrum environment are required. Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, and AWS is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in front-end development.
• TS/SCI with CI Poly or willingness to obtain CI Poly.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive design principles.
• Experience with Git or GitLab.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work within Agile Kanban processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications and user interfaces.
• Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces for data-rich applications.
• Develop and maintain front-end components using JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Work with HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
• Integrate user interfaces with RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and defects.
• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices.
• Write automated tests for software components.
• Apply Test Driven Development practices where appropriate.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards of software quality.
• Work with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and REST microservices as part of the broader application stack.
