Job summary

ShopRite of Hadley Commons in South Plainfield, NJ is looking for a Front End Runner to deliver a great customer experience with accurate scanning, pricing, and bagging. You will collect payments, provide correct change, and help keep the checkout area efficient and friendly.

The role requires reading/writing English, basic math, and the ability to stand for shifts. You may lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Greet all Customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Enter customer information into database for eligibility in Wakefern programs.
• Be knowledgeable in the various types of products carried in the store.
• Process all forms of payments (i.e. cash, credit, checks, EBT, etc.).
• Maintain cash integrity and assist with checkout procedures as needed.
• Maintain Department sanitation and QA standards by cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces.
