Job summary

Silver King Beverage Company is seeking a Front-End Production Manager to lead our front-end can-making operations in Salt Lake City. You will direct technicians and operators, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams.

You will monitor metrics, implement improvements, and apply Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering/manufacturing background and several years of supervisory experience in metal

Strong technical expertise in can-making equipment (cups, body makers, trimmers).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor front-end production staff, fostering safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to enhance skill development.
Oversee operation and maintenance of front-end equipment (cupping, body-making, trimming).
Monitor production metrics and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and minimize waste.
Troubleshoot operational issues and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Work with QA to implement corrective actions for defects.
Enforce safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance.
Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment lifespan.
Assist in planning and executing equipment upgrades and installations.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance to improve machine performance.
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to drive operational excellence.
Prepare and present reports on production performance, downtime, and efficiency improvements.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to align production objectives with company goals.
