Job summary

Fresh Grocer Gerrity's Corporate in Scranton, PA is seeking a Front-End Associate to deliver a great customer experience by scanning, pricing and bagging, handling payments, and providing accurate change while working safely and efficiently.

You will stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and maintain a clean, organized store, greet customers, and follow company policies on cash handling, rain checks, coupons, and returns.

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Greet all Customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Enter customer information into database for eligibility in Wakefern programs.
• Be knowledgeable in the various types of products carried in the store.
• Process all forms of payments and maintain cash handling procedures.
• Provide assistance in handling voids, vouchers, and Price Plus cards, enforce Front-End policies.
