Job summary

SharkNinja is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer II for Corded/Cordless products in Needham, MA. You will own front-end engineering, rapidly prototyping ideas, and driving feasibility decisions that shape the product roadmap.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 2–4+ years of mechanical engineering or product design experience.
• Hands-on experience designing electromechanical products in a product development environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-end technology and feasibility roadmap for Corded/Cordless Products, collaborating with engineering, industrial design, brand, and test kitchen teams across the US, UK, and China.
• Build proof-of-concept rigs and functional prototypes to stress-test ideas early — before the business invests in full development.
• Work across the full system: mechanical design, sensors, software, batteries, connectivity — you see the whole picture, not just your slice of it.
• Communicate ideas rapidly through sketching, CAD layouts, 3D models, and physical prototypes.
• Run design and engineering studies — solo and in teams — with the consumer experience as the north star at every stage.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a team culture that treats failure as signal, not setback.
• Staying close to IP development, identifying novel and inventive solutions alongside R&D.
