Job summary

Belk is seeking a Manager, IT Front-End Engineering to lead a talented team delivering high-performance, scalable UI for our e-commerce platform. You will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to drive frontend development and align with business goals.

You will own end-to-end delivery from concept to deployment, manage budgets and timelines with the Project Manager, and remove impediments to ensure high-quality code and successful product outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems or related field required.
• 10+ years experience building and delivering front-end solutions.
• Experience leading IT teams with budget management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript, React, Next.js, and front-end architectures.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical guidance on architecture and design for the front-end codebase (React/Next.js).
• Lead Agile ceremonies, plan sprints, and remove impediments for predictable delivery.
• Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, and engineering leaders to define front-end roadmap and translate requirements into solutions.
• Oversee analytics tagging and frontend deployment processes.
• Mentor team, plan capacity, and manage budgets and timelines with PMO oversight.
