Job summary

Boise Co-Op in Meridian, Idaho is seeking a friendly Front End associate to ensure accurate checkout and welcoming service. You will enter correct SKUs, quantities, and weights into the POS, while guiding customers to membership information and supporting self-checkout.

You will balance customer care with stocking and light cleaning, follow cash handling rules, and help keep the front end clean and organized. A background check is required and 19+ with retail experience is preferred.

• Capacity to handle cash procedures with accuracy and integrity.
• Must pass a background check.
• Retail or grocery experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate checkout by entering SKU, quantity, and weight into POS.
• Engage customers warmly and share membership information.
• Ask customers to Round Up for the monthly nonprofit.
• Follow cash handling procedures to maintain till accuracy.
• Comply with state alcoholic beverage sale regulations.
• Assist at self-checkout and answer customer questions.
• Balance service with stocking and light cleaning to keep the front end tidy.
• Handle challenging customers calmly, involving leadership when needed.
• Maintain a clean, orderly front end including foyer, carts, and restrooms.
