Job summary

Kroger is hiring a part-time customer service/bagger in Oregon. You will greet customers, assist at the register, and handle various payment methods while following store policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, welcoming environment, monitoring ad changes, and helping with loss prevention and regulatory compliance. Previous bagger experience is valued."

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle various tenders per company policy.
• Understand and adhere to cash shortages/overages policy and help control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report items in need of repair.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced environments and manage conflicts calmly.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
