Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Front-End Engineer to help build the user-facing side of a new Generative AI application.

You will collaborate with product, UX and backend teams to scope, design, implement, test, and maintain features end-to-end, delivering maintainable UI components. You will work with JavaScript, HTML and CSS in modern frameworks, participate in code reviews, and provide operational support while iterating rapidly to deliver real business value for AWS

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non‑internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
• 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object‑oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

Responsibilities

• Deliver software components and improvements to software features with your team’s software
• Work with stakeholders and product partners to deliver high-quality UX
• Take feature specifications and deliver working code that is maintainable and extendable
• Help provide operational support for your team and work to ensure that root causes are identified and resolved
• Participate in code reviews and daily stand-ups
• Collaborate with your team to positively impact the software quality, customer experience, and maintainability of your team’s products
• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture/design/working software solutions by working with PM, UX designers, and customers
• Code and test system components; participate in code and design reviews
• Demonstrate ownership of end-to-end code quality, system tests, functional tests, and integration
• Partner/Collaborate across teams/roles to deliver results
• Be responsible for overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance
• Mentor other engineers, define the technical culture, and help grow the team
