Job summary

System High, a Veilant subsidiary, is building a new frontend application from the ground up. You will own the frontend layer, shape architecture, and establish patterns for components, routing, and performance.

You’ll work with React or similar frameworks, integrate with REST APIs, and participate in GitHub and CI/CD workflows. AI-assisted development tools will accelerate tasks while you retain engineering judgment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience in frontend development.
• Experience with React or modern frontend frameworks; React preferred.
• Designing reusable frontend components and responsive interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience using Git and GitHub in collaborative environments.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and modern workflows.
• Strong fundamentals in maintainability, testing, debugging, and code reviews.
• Ability to work independently through ambiguous problems and justify decisions.
• Experience applying AI-assisted development tools and validating output.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Own the Frontend Application Layer and establish scalable patterns.
• Build production-ready experiences translating UI/UX concepts.
• Integrate with APIs and manage data structures, state, and error handling.
• Shape frontend architecture and testing strategies.
• Collaborate across backend, AI specialists, QA, and product leadership.
• Develop efficient workflows within GitHub, AWS-based pipelines, and CI/CD.
• Use AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining code quality.
• Automate repetitive tasks with lightweight scripts where sensible.
• Deliver iteratively in an Agile/Scrum process.
• Contribute to code reviews and ongoing engineering practice improvements.
