Job summary

Peraton Labs is seeking a poly cleared Front-End Developer to join our team near College Park, MD, to build high-performance web applications for research and demonstrations.

You will design modern UIs with HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript, integrate RESTful services, and collaborate with engineers and government stakeholders. This on-site role requires 3+ years of front-end experience and TS/SCI clearance. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 1+ year with a Master's; 7 years total acceptable.
• Experience building apps using HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs in full-stack environments.
• Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL concepts.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD basics.
• Proficiency in Python and other programming languages.
• Ability to operate in a secure, mission-oriented environment with clear communication.
• US Citizenship with an active TS/SCI w/Polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern UIs using HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript for research systems, dashboards, and prototype apps.
• Evolve front-end features by enhancing existing applications for usability and performance.
• Integrate front-end with backend services via RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate on data access patterns and queries for databases/data repos.
• Implement UI-driven workflows ensuring latency, throughput, and data fidelity meet standards.
• Develop and execute UI component tests and prototype workflows.
• Analyze user needs and workflows to propose practical improvements.
• Modify software to improve performance and stability.
• Support leadership by owning a UI subsystem and coordinating UI deliverables.
