GDIT is seeking a Front End Engineer Senior/508 Compliance Specialist to develop accessible UI components and lead 508 compliance efforts for government projects. You will work with a cross-functional Agile team to ensure accessibility in design, development, and testing, including JAWS and ARIA practices.

The ideal candidate brings strong front-end engineering skills with 508 testing expertise and a TS/SCI polygraph eligible background, for hybrid telework up to three days per week in Maryland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science as required education.
• At least 5+ years of related experience in front-end engineering.
• US citizenship required and TOP SECRET//SCI W/ Polygraph clearance.
• Strong concentration in Section 508 accessibility compliance and assistive technology knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain accessible front-end components conforming to Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA.
• Perform accessibility testing with JAWS and other screen readers; remediate issues around keyboard navigation and focus management.
• Conduct manual and automated accessibility audits; document findings and generate test reports.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, developers, and product owners to bake accessibility in by design.
• Integrate automated accessibility checks into the CI/CD pipeline and participate in Agile ceremonies.
