About the Role

Hopscotch Primary Care is looking fora skilled Front End Engineer to support our Engineering and Product teams at a pivotal moment in our growth. The ideal candidate will blend technical execution, effective cross-functional collaboration, and an ownership mindset to excel in our fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our data-driven care model relies on a strong technical foundation to power our clinical operations, analytics, and patient engagement. This role will play a critical role in building a best-in-class product ecosystem that scales as we grow across new markets. In our highly collaborative team, you will work closely with Product, Operations, Growth and Clinical teams to execute our technology roadmap.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and accessibility
  • Design and implement ‘last-mile’ data pipelines to enrich or re-shape backend data for optimal use in applications
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to translate wireframes and prototypes into high-quality code
  • Build, evolve and maintain our design system and component library in partnership with product
  • Support code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high standards across the tech stack
  • Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks or UX issues
  • Contribute to front end technical strategy, system architecture, and internal documentation for long-term scalability
  • Develop a deep understanding of the current architecture and technology roadmap
  • Build relationships with cross-functional partners and effectively communicate about priorities and work product

About You:

You would be a great fit for this position if you have:

  • Experience supporting a hybrid model of in-house development and vended solutions
  • Experience with state management, API integration, and rendering data-rich interfaces
  • Experience working with backend systems or data tools to shape or transform data (ex. SQL, Python, dbt, or similar)
  • Familiarity with working with healthcare data sources, different interfaces and clinical workflow software including EHR, population health tools, patient portals, and clinical decision support technology.
  • Familiarity with front end testing frameworks
  • Experience in a start-up or high-growth environment, ideally in healthcare
  • A results-driven mindset, focusing time and resources against the most impactful priorities
  • A concise and articulate communication style, breaking complex concepts down both verbally and in writing
