Job summary

Purpose of Role

Develops and maintains the software, applications, and integrations used to support Yamaha business goals.

Key Accountabilities

• Supports front end software code deliverables to meet Yamaha business requirements
• Supports the code development process to ensure Yamaha software quality
• Understands and applies Yamaha guidelines to ensure a positive customer experience

Primary Responsibilities

• Learn to follow Yamaha brand style guidelines
• Learn to follow Yamaha SEO best practices in front end development
• Learn to follow Yamaha current WCAG best practices

• Accessibility: Design and develop web content for individuals with disabilities in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, at Levels A and AA
• Customer Experience: Define desired customer experience to achieve satisfaction and loyalty throughout the customer journey
• Digital Development: Design, develop, and maintain websites and online applications used by customers
• Digital Development – IT: Design, develop, and maintain digital marketing stack, websites, and online applications used by customers

• UI/UX Design: Design the aesthetics of a digital product; plan the experience a person has when they interact with a digital product

Qualifications

• Ideal: Experienced in application of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, at Levels A and AA for website and mobile application design and development
• Experience creating website wireframes
• Language experience: Adobe XD (or similar tool), JavaScript, CSS, HTML
• Basic understanding of SEO factors in web page and website design and development
• Preferred: Experience working in enterprise PM tool like JIRA or Workfront
• BS in Computer Science
