Job summary

Atlas Tech is seeking a motivated React GUI Developer to design, implement, and maintain high‑reliability web interfaces for naval tactical networks on Red Hat Linux platforms.

You will work with US Navy customers, develop in Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript, and ensure STIG compliance while incorporating DoD security guidelines. Hybrid work up to 2 days weekly; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• 5 years developing in Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or similar Linux distributions.
• Experience with Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript development.
• Ability to obtain certs within 3 months of start: Security+ CE or Scrum Developer.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
• Administer Red Hat VMs (KVM) and containers (Docker/Podman).
• Develop software applications in Python, ReactJS, TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Automate tasks using Bash or Ansible.
• Maintain source code in Git repositories.
• Assist with software change requests and installation documentation.
• Ensure DoD IT security guidelines and STIG compliance.

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented React GUI Developer to join a dynamic, mission-focused engineering team. In this role, you will work with our U.S. Navy customer to design, implement, and maintain high-reliability web-based graphical interfaces for tactical network applications. This position allows for telework up to 2 days per week. However, Atlas reserves the right to adjust the schedule, if required to meet the needs of our customer.

Travel Up To - 10%

You Will:

• Maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers
• Administer Red Hat virtual machines (KVM) and containers (Docker/Podman)
• Develop software applications in Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript on Red Hat Linux platforms
• Automate tasks using Bash or Ansible
• Maintain source code in software repositories (Git)
• Assist subject matter experts with software engineering change requests (ECR) and software installation documentation
• Research and resolve software trouble reports impacting application functionality
• Ensure compliance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines for IT system security, specifically STIG compliance

You Have:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must currently possess and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance.
• Experience developing applications using Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Background in User Interface Design / HFI
• Experience developing solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities
• Strong documentation and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• A passion for learning about, and working in the IT industry

We'd be Impressed if You Had:

• Experience with Navy systems
• A Linux OS certification
• IP Networking experience

Education/Experience

• BS Degree in relevant technical field or combination of education and experience
• Ability to obtain the following certs within 3 months of start date:
  • CompTIA Security+ CE
  • Professional Scrum Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
• Professional Scrum Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
• 5 years developing in Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience with Red Hat or similar Linux distributions
• Experience automating tasks using Bash or Ansible
