Fred Meyer, Inc. is seeking a store associate to provide exceptional customer service and support department management in a fast-paced retail environment. The role emphasizes cash handling, POS operations, and teamwork to ensure smooth checkout experiences.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily department tasks, maximizing sales opportunities, and stepping in for the Manager or Assistant Manager when needed. Candidates should be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; six months cashier experience and 1–2 years retail experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ (19+ in some states) and able to pass a background/drug check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on weekends; occasional travel.
• Maintain confidentiality; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license; CPR/First Aid certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at the checkout and in-store to assist customers.
• Assist with department management and daily operations.
• Maximize financial opportunities and drive sales.
• Serve in managerial capacity in the absence of Manager and Assistant Manager.
