Job summary

ShopRite of Shrewsbury is seeking a Customer Service/Courtesy Clerk to deliver a great customer experience at the Saker NJ location. You will greet customers, scan and bag items, handle payments, and answer inquiries in a friendly, professional manner.

The role requires strong English, basic math, and the ability to stand for long periods. Training covers safety, presentation, and efficiency in daily front-end operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Basic math skills for transactions and pricing.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Friendly interaction with customers and teamwork with staff.
• Ability to work varied schedules and adhere to attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Scan, price, and bag products; process payments and provide change.
• Handle returns accurately according to policy.
• Answer customer questions in person or by phone.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and assist with shelf replenishment.
• Operate and report any equipment issues as required.
