Food Lion in Charleston, SC is seeking a Front End/Cashier to deliver fast, friendly service and greet customers by name whenever possible. You will handle checkout transactions, manage bagging, and assist with To-Go orders when applicable.

Maintain a neat front-end area, follow cash handling procedures, and support store standards. Must have effective communication and be willing to learn multiple tasks; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

Responsabilités

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and uses his or her name whenever possible.
• Scan customers' order and handles the payment transaction, per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for refunds and error correction and maintain cash control.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take the customer's order to their car, including Food Lion To-Go orders (if applicable).
• Maintain a neat and clean front-end area and report any issues to management.
• Perform the task of cashier when scheduled or as needed; assist with front end management during brief absences.
