Food Lion in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a friendly Front End/Cashier to provide fast, accurate service at the register and at the front end. You will greet customers, handle payments, and ensure a clean, organized checkout area.

The role requires effective communication, a willingness to learn multiple tasks, and the ability to stand for extended periods. Training will cover cash handling, bagging, and Food Lion To-Go support.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsabilités

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group items for efficient bagging
• Follow proper bagging procedures for bag types and cash handling as required
• Scan orders and handle payment transactions per standard practice
• Maintain a neat and clean front-end area and report any equipment issues
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car, including To-Go orders
