ShopRite of West Caldwell in Sunrise, NJ, is seeking a Customer Service/Courtesy Desk Clerk to provide friendly, efficient service at the Sunrise location. The role includes scanning, pricing, bagging, handling payments, answering inquiries, and delivering a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for full shifts.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Must adhere to attendance policies and work schedules.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Enter customer information into database for eligibility of Wakefern programs.
• Understand cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
• Assist with pricing, scanning, bagging, and returns per policy.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow QA standards.
• Handle damaged merchandise per company procedures.
• Respond to customer inquiries in person or by phone.
• Fulfill all duties per ShopRite service priorities.
