The role involves observing store rules, assisting customers, stocking, bagging, and maintaining clean, safe front-end areas while upholding health regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Be able to perform arithmetic calculations at the eight-grade level to assist in sales transactions and to calculate and extend column totals on in-store usage.
• Ability to hear, speak and understand the spoken word to respond to requests and assist customers.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand English to read instructions and policies.
• Must have and be able to present a valid work permit if under 18.
• Thorough familiarity with store policies and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Observe all store rules and policies; comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and observe dress regulations.
• Observe shift hours as scheduled by the store director.
• Bag customer purchases and provide carry-out service.
• Sort and return items to their normal shelf locations (go-backs).
• Assist customers with purchases including carry-out service and loading into vehicles.
• Keep front end clean and displays orderly; ensure housekeeping and sanitation standards.
• Greet customers and provide prompt and courteous service.
• Record in-store usage of merchandise according to policies.
• Assist in training personnel when assigned.
