Responsibilities include greeting customers, bagging, carry-out service, stocking, ringing up sales, and maintaining cleanliness and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred but not absolutely required.
• Be able to perform arithmetical calculations at the eight-grade level to assist in sales and to extend column totals.
• Ability to hear, speak and understand spoken English to respond to requests and assist customers.
• Read, write and understand English for operating equipment and following policies.
• Must have a valid work permit if under 18.
• Be familiar with store policies and maintain punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Observe store rules and safety policies.
• Bag customer purchases per store procedures.
• Provide carry out service and assist customers with loading.
• Sort items and return to stock, perform price checks.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Maintain store cleanliness and front-end displays.
• Assist in training personnel as assigned.
• Report safety or policy violations to management.
