Responsibilities

• Smiles and greets customers, answers questions and helps resolve concerns promptly in a polite, professional manner.
• Operates front-end scanning equipment and cash register; handles bagging and cart placement.
• Ensures accurate transactions, handles cash, checks, electronic payments and coupons; adheres to cash handling policies.
• Maintains knowledge of weekly ads, promotions and store layout to answer customer questions.
• Maintains sanitation in the department; follows schedules to keep areas, equipment and displays clean.
• Cooperates with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth department and store operations.
• Utilizes provided PPE (gloves, safety cutters, footwear) as required.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
