Job summary

Innovaccer is seeking a Coding Specialist I to independently review and resolve front-end claims, ensuring accurate submission by applying CPT/ICD-10-CM coding rules and payer guidelines. You will collaborate with revenue cycle partners to reduce rejections and support timely reimbursement.

Required certifications include AAPC or AHIMA, with strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding guidelines, and HIPAA privacy.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current AAPC or AHIMA certification.
• Strong working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, medical terminology, and Medicare guidelines.
• Excellent grammar and professional documentation skills.
• Ability to analyze data, resolve coding issues, and read medical docs.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve front-end claims to ensure accurate submission.
• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes with modifiers for professional services.
• Ensure codes meet medical necessity guidelines and payer requirements.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
• Collaborate with revenue cycle teams to reduce claim rejections.
