Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Front-End Team Member to deliver a smooth checkout experience for customers. You will scan items, bag groceries, and assist with questions while keeping the front-end organized and efficient.

The role involves handling transactions, restocking, and maintaining the checkout area during a fast-paced shift. Prior customer service is helpful, and availability for flexible schedules is required.

Qualifications

• Customer-friendly communication at checkout and during assistance
• Accurate processing of purchases (cash, card, digital payments)
• Accurate scanning, pricing, codes, and order completion
• Basic math skills for cash handling and making change
• Organized workflow across multiple tasks during shifts
• Assisting with bagging, cart retrieval, stocking, and front-end upkeep
• Recognizing and addressing pricing, transaction, or service questions
• Following store policies, register procedures, and checkout processes
• Ability to adapt to changing tasks and customer flow
• Comfort standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., indoors/outdoors

Responsibilities

• Scan items at checkout and bag groceries.
• Assist customers with questions and complete purchases quickly and accurately.
• Keep the front-end area clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift.
• Rotate between tasks ( transactions, cart retrieval, stocking, checkout area upkeep).
• Handle multiple tasks with a steady workflow in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure pricing and product codes are correct and balanced at closing.
