Shaw’s and Star Market in Falmouth, ME is seeking a Front-End Team Member to create a smooth checkout experience for customers. You’ll help complete purchases, scan items, and keep the front end organized while remaining friendly and efficient.

You will rotate between transactions, stocking, and assisting with bagging and cart retrieval, in a fast-paced environment. Prior customer service is a plus; flexible hours include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ or 18+ depending on local/state requirements.
• Complete cashier/front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle transactions and process payments accurately.
• Bag groceries and assist customers at the front end.
• Answer questions and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Restock supplies and maintain checkout area.
• Assist with cart retrieval, bagging, and general front-end upkeep.
• Follow store policies and checkout procedures.
• Adapt to changing tasks and customer flow.
