Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Six months cashier experience.
• Minimum 18 years old (19 where required by state for tobacco).
• Ability to pass drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends, any shift, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
• Related retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, tender transactions, bag merchandise, money drops.
• Maintain price discrepancy logs.
• Keep checkstand area clean to standards.
• Answer telephones and provide service at the Customer Service Desk.
• Follow corporate policies and participate in initiatives.
• Verify and deactivate EAS tags at POS and respond to tag activations.
• Assist with store accounting and bank deposits.
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders, gift cards, bill pay, and more.
• Provide lottery service and licenses where applicable.
• Manage lost and found and filing.
• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and handle conflicts calmly.
