Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. in Abilene, TX is looking for a Front-End Team Member to deliver a smooth checkout experience, scanning items, bagging groceries, and assisting customers.

You’ll help ensure each visit ends on a positive note with friendly, efficient service. You will also keep the front end organized, rotate between tasks, restock supplies, and maintain the checkout area while staying engaged in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18+ depending on local/state requirements)
• Completion of company cashier or front-end training upon hire
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Handle transactions, including cash, card, and digital payments
• Scan items, bag groceries, and answer customer questions
• Keep the front end organized, clean, and running smoothly
• Restock supplies and maintain checkout area throughout the shift
• Assist with bagging, cart retrieval, stocking, and front-end upkeep
• Adapt to changing tasks and customer flow throughout shift
• Follow store policies, register procedures, and checkout processes
• Stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., indoor/outdoor work as needed
