Job summary

Safeway in Lake Oswego, OR, seeks a Front-End Team Member to support smooth checkout experiences for customers. You’ll scan items, assist customers, and help keep the front end organized and efficient throughout the shift.

You should be able to stand for long periods, handle payments, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced grocery environment. Casual, flexible schedules are available with weekly pay and benefits where eligible.

Qualifications

• Customer interaction skills for checkout and assistance.
• Accurate transaction handling across cash, card, and digital payments.
• Attention to detail in scanning, pricing, and order completion.
• Basic math skills for counting change and balances.
• Organizing tasks and managing time during busy shifts.
• Assist with bagging, cart retrieval, stocking, and front-end upkeep.
• Identify and address pricing or service questions we encounter.
• Follow store policies, register procedures, and checkout processes.
• Adapt to changing tasks and customer flow during shifts.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when needed.

Responsibilities
