Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a friendly Front End Associate to deliver fast, accurate service at the register and help customers with their shopping experience.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing payments, bagging, and maintaining a clean, efficient front end area in a fast-paced store environment. A high school diploma or GED and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service to customers.
• Greet customers by name when possible and assist across store front end.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and bag items by type for efficiency.
• Process payments and handle cash/transactions per standard procedures.
• Follow proper bagging procedures and ensure front end area is neat and clean.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car.
• Maintain cash control and report any register issues to management.
• Adhere to all store policies and safety guidelines.
