Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Los Angeles is hiring for a Customer Service & E-Commerce Team Member focused on checkout, cash register duties, bagging groceries, and helping at the customer service desk. You will support a positive store image through courteous, friendly, and efficient service.

No prior retail experience required; must lift 50 pounds and be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Upholds regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
• Follows proper checkout and cash procedures.
• Maintains Front End areas and register; changes tapes and ribbons as needed.
• Follows cash handling procedures and cashier variance policy.
• May assist in training new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members.
• Assist supervisor in managing customer flow and reduce wait time.
• Participates in company programs as directed by leadership.
• Arrives on time and prepared; works scheduled shifts.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper merchandising and stock rotation.
• Complies with health, safety, and Weights & Measures procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe working and shopping environment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
