Job summary

Food Lion in Havelock, NC is looking for a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service and maintain high standards at the cash register. You will greet customers, scan items, handle payments, and help bag groceries while keeping the front-end area neat and orderly.

Responsibilities include accurate cash handling, following store procedures, and supporting store operations. Training will be provided to perform all duties, with emphasis on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and uses his or her name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group items for bagging.
• Scan order and handle the payment transaction per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for bagging, refunds, and cash handling.
• Maintain neat and clean front end area and report malfunctions.
• Complete CBT and training aid courses and perform all other duties as assigned.
