Job summary

Food Lion in Fuquay-Varina, NC is seeking a front-end associate to provide fast, friendly service, greet customers, scan orders, bag groceries and handle payments according to store standards. You will help keep the front end area clean and organized while following cash handling procedures and safety guidelines.

As a team member, you will assist customers with bagging, carry-out when needed, and support fellow associates to maintain efficient checkout operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service to customers.
• Greet customers and address them by name when possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and group items for bagging.
• Follow bagging procedures and scan orders for payment.
• Maintain clean work station and front-end area, report issues.
• Handle cash, checks, coupons, gift cards and WIC vouchers per policy.
• Assist customers with special needs and carry orders to cars when appropriate.
• Observe safety and company policies and participate in CBT trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
