Job summary

The Home Depot in Ventura, CA is looking for Contractors' Warehouse Cashiers who deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service at checkout and for returns. They monitor the Self-Checkout area and share product knowledge to assist customers with buying decisions.

A Head Cashier supports cashiers by expediting price checks and approving POS transactions and markdowns across mainline registers, Self Checkout, and Returns. Prior cashier experience (1+ years) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven customer service and cash handling skills.
• Ability to explain product information to customers.
• Familiar with operating a POS system and cash register.

Responsibilities

• Process Checkout and/or Return transactions accurately.
• Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area.
• Provide product knowledge to customers and identify selling opportunities.
• Escalate issues to resolve customer problems.
• Assist in supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates.
