Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Customer Service & E-Commerce Team member to assist customers at checkout, operate cash registers, bag groceries, and support customer service desks. This role emphasizes friendly, efficient service and adherence to health and safety standards across all store operations.

Experience in retail is not required. The wage range for this position is $16.00-$24.40 hourly, with Whole Benefits and opportunities for training and growth within the team.

Responsibilities

• Check out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Uphold regulations for sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
• Follow proper cash procedures and card processes.
• Maintain front end areas and operate own register.
• Follow cash handling procedures and minimize variances.
• Assist with training new cashiers as needed.
• Help manage customer flow and reduce wait times.
• Participate in company programs as directed by leadership.
• Arrive on time and ready to work, with required trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service and suggestive selling.
• Maximize sales through proper stocking and merchandising procedures.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe working environment and equipment.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties and check pricing accuracy.
• Report safety hazards and violations promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
