Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service at the Customer Service Desk.
  • Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, complete transactions, bag merchandise, handle money drops, know produce codes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the checkstand area to standard.
  • Answer telephones and assist customers.
  • Comply with corporate policies and promote company initiatives.
  • Verify EAS tags are deactivated or removed at point of sale; respond to pedestal activations as needed.
  • Maintain store accounting functions and prepare bank deposits of excess funds.
  • Open and close the desk; process refunds, exchanges, money orders, transfers, bill pay, gift cards, and purchases.
  • Provide lottery service (except Alaska) and fish/game licenses; handle faxes and lost-and-found; run vendor reports.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment; manage conflicts calmly; act with honesty and integrity; follow directions and seek help when needed.
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults; perform essential functions with or without accommodations.

  • Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk
  • Minimum 18 years of age/19 years of age in Idaho/ 19 years in Alaska if selling tobacco
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work weekends on a regular basis, work any shift and work overtime as needed
  • Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
