Job summary

VONS is hiring for a Front-End Team Member to support a smooth checkout experience and assist customers with purchases. You will process transactions, bag groceries, and help keep the front-end area organized and welcoming during busy shifts.

The role offers variety in daily tasks, with opportunities to cross-train in bagging, stocking, and customer service. A positive, customer-focused attitude and ability to adapt to changing tasks are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old (or 18+ depending on local/state requirements)
• Completion of company cashier or front-end training upon hire
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at checkout, handle transactions and bag groceries
• Maintain organized, clean, and efficient checkout area throughout shift
• Restock supplies and retrieve carts as needed
• Answer questions and resolve simple issues to keep checkout moving smoothly
