Job summary

Safeway, part of Albertsons Companies Inc., in Brentwood, CA is seeking a Front-End Team Member to ensure a smooth checkout experience for customers. You’ll handle transactions, assist with bagging, and keep the front end neat and organized, while delivering friendly service throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18+ depending on local/state requirements)
• Completion of company cashier or front-end training upon hire
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Handle transactions accurately and assist customers at checkout
• Bag groceries and maintain a clean, organized front-end area
• Assist with bagging, cart retrieval, stocking, and general front-end upkeep
• Follow store policies and checkout procedures while staying adaptable to changing tasks
