Job summary

Heinen’s, Inc. is seeking a Retail Professional to uphold the Heinen’s Diamond Difference Standards in a fast-paced store environment. You will learn and apply the 5-Step QCSSS framework (Quality, Cleanliness, Stock Levels, Signage, Serviceable) while supporting customers with a positive, professional demeanor.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliability, with opportunities for promotion through performance and leadership development programs. Weekend/evenings availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency.
• Adherence to company policies and standards.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Stamina to stand and lift up to 50 lbs; work in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours including weekends/evenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate scanners, scales, cash registers and other electronics.
• Process payments accurately and verify prices/quantities.
• Follow store procedures for coupons, gift cards and restricted items (e.g., alcohol).
• Maintain proper packing and knowledge of store operations.
• Attend corporate meetings and training classes.
• Maintain personal and food safety standards.
