Condé Nast is seeking a Front End Software Engineer / SE2: Full Stack to elevate visual and interactive experiences across our publishing platforms in New York. You’ll contribute to Verso, collaborate with product design, editorial, and platform teams to ship premium web experiences.
The role emphasizes modern React/TypeScript, GraphQL, accessibility, performance, and AI-assisted tooling to push the platform forward for millions of readers.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience building front-end experiences with React and TypeScript.
- Fluency with GraphQL, fragments, schemas, and component queries.
- Strong understanding of modern React concepts (hooks, SSR/Hydration, suspense).
- Solid CSS fundamentals and responsive design.
- Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
- Experience optimizing Core Web Vitals and reducing runtime costs.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and push the platform forward.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
- Ability to critique and test AI-generated outputs and maintain editorial trust.
Responsibilities
- Elevate front-end architecture and contribute to multi-tenant applications.
