Job summary

VNA Health Group is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor to lead front office operations across CHC sites, ensuring a welcoming and efficient patient experience. You will supervise front desk staff, support insurance verifications and uninsured program applications, and assist pre‑visit planning while ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

The role emphasizes patient flow, staff development, and accurate front‑end processes that support billing and overall clinic performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Bilingual (English- Spanish) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills and advanced computer skills required
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in clerical and office support work in a healthcare setting.
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal relationship skills with demonstrated ability to mentor and train others as well as frequent contacts with office managers and program managers.

Responsibilities

  • Front Desk Operations: Manage daily front desk functions including registration, scheduling, check‑in/check‑out, uninsured program applications (LOA, PE, CEED), and phone operations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise front desk staff and financial counselors; identify training needs; support performance development in collaboration with the Office Manager.
  • Operational Support: Serve as backup to the Office Manager; address on‑site issues; elevate concerns appropriately.
  • Patient Flow Management: Ensure timely, efficient movement of patients from arrival through discharge.
  • Data and Compliance Oversight: Ensure accurate demographic and insurance information; conduct real‑time and audit‑based reviews.
  • Financial Processes: Oversee point‑of‑service transactions and collaborate with billing to support claims accuracy.
  • Patient Experience: Assist with monitoring patient satisfaction and implementing improvements.
  • Professional Standards: Model and enforce organisational expectations for attendance, appearance, and interpersonal communication.

Position Summary:

Working Conditions/Physical Demand:

Working indoors with client/customer contact. Ability to remain physically present for extended periods (may include standing, walking, sitting, and bending for long durations). Traveling to all CHC sites.

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the compensation range for this position is USD $50,000 to USD $65,000. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organisational conditions.
