CSU Stanislaus is seeking a Learning Commons student assistant to man the front desk and support outreach and special projects. The role emphasizes welcoming students, clerical tasks, and guiding visitors to campus resources using StanTutor.
The position runs as a temporary hourly-intermittent appointment with 10–20 hours per week, starting Sept 14, 2026 and ending May 21, 2027, with possible reappointment based on budget and performance.

Serves as a Learning Commons student assistant for the front desk - the connection, communication, and clerical hub of services and operations. Front desk student assistants welcome and connect students to services, complete clerical tasks, and share how the Learning Commons contributes to student success through a variety of communication tools and marketing events. Applicants must have a work study award as part of their financial aid. This position will have a special focus on outreach, supporting front desk operations, and special projects.
One position available on or after September 14, 2026 and ending on or before May 21, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
Duties include but are not limited to:
$16.90 per hour.
